Paper Submissions

The conference language is English. Authors are invited to submit full papers (12 to 16 pages including references) or short papers (6 to 8 pages including references) in the Springer LNICST format, the same as the camera-ready format.

Note that FaVE 2009 will accept ONLY online submissions, containing PDF versions. All paper submissions will be handled electronically. Final manuscripts are limited to 16 A4 size pages including text, figures and references.

The front page must contain the title of the paper and the appropriate academic field(s). All author identification must be removed from the manuscript to facilitate double-blind review.

In submitting a paper, the author(s) agree that, upon acceptance, they will prepare the final manuscript in time for inclusion in the published proceedings and will present the paper at the conference. The final manuscript will not be published without advance registration.

Submission Guidelines

1. Prepare your paper

Prepare your paper following the guidelines for Springer's LNICST publications. Templates can be found in the Author's Kit.

2. Upload the paper

Submit your paper via the ASSYST Article Submission System. Please make sure that you have removed your name and affiliation from the text (anonymization).

3. Register for the conference

If your paper was accepted, please register for the conference. One author for each paper must register at a non-student rate for the full conference, even if all authors are students. One registration covers two papers for those authors who have multiple papers accepted. Your paper will not be included in the proceedings unless you have successfully registered!

4. Final paper submission

Within 72 hours of your successful registration, you will receive a message with instructions on how to upload your camera-ready paper(s).
